Garden Cut ® Tomato Sauce


Heat oil in a saucepan over medium heat. Add onion and sauté for 4 minutes. Add garlic and sauté for 3 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Add tomato paste and cook for 4 minutes, until color changes. Stirring constantly. Add tomatoes and bring to a boil. Stirring occasionally. Then lower to a simmer and cook for 45 minutes. Add basil and adjust seasoning.

  • 1 6oz Garden Cut® Diced Onion

  • 2 T olive oil

  • 6 garlic cloves, minced

  • 2 28 oz. Cans whole plum tomatoes

  • 3 oz. tomato paste

  • ½ Cup basil, chopped

  • Salt and pepper to taste
